Objectives

The main objective of InnovateVET is to develop an interactive digital guide using VR/AR, gamification and AI-driven learning to enhance engagement and accessibility in VET education.

Through this product we aim to equip VET educators with innovative teaching tools, improving their digital competencies and their ability to deliver future-ready training. The wider goal is to enhance learners' employability by integrating digital and green skills, aligning vocational education with labour market needs.

  • Case study – four workshops and an analysis process providing the theoretical framework and data for the development phase.
  • Development – design and production of the innovative digital guide.
  • Partner meetings – establishing the partnership, coordinating the work and finalising the product.
  • Popularisation events – a coordinated dissemination effort in each partner country with maximum outreach.

Erasmus+ priorities

How InnovateVET contributes to the programme

Digital transformation

Horizontal priority: addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity. The guide gives educators a standardised, step-by-step path to adopt VR/AR, gamification and AI in their teaching.

Innovation in VET

Gamification for engagement, immersive VR/AR practice in a controlled environment, AI-powered personalised learning and eco-digital transformation embedded in the curriculum.

Quality assurance in VET

Competency-based learning, scenario-based assessment and data-driven tracking of performance and skill acquisition make results measurable and evidence-based.

Target groups

Who benefits from the project

Main target group

VET educators and trainers

Educators are asked to train a new type of workforce. InnovateVET equips them with modern teaching methods (gamification, VR, AR, AI-powered learning), helps them integrate green and digital competencies into their teaching and supports technology-driven pedagogical approaches.

Target group

VET students and learners

Training becomes more interactive and practical. Learners gain future-proof skills in digitalisation, automation and sustainability, increasing their employability in the evolving job market, especially in green and digital sectors.

Target group

VET institutions

Technical schools, training centres and colleges modernise their curricula, align them with EU labour market needs and build capacity to integrate digital and eco-friendly training methodologies.

Stakeholders

Employers and policymakers

Industry and employers from green and digital sectors, as well as policymakers, contribute to the case study and validate that the product answers real labour market needs.

Green practices

Project documentation is managed digitally; most partnership meetings are held online; participants are encouraged to travel by train or shared transport; training content is delivered through e-learning platforms instead of printed manuals; and the final events follow sustainable event guidelines with virtual attendance options. The guide itself includes modules on renewable energy, the circular economy and sustainable practices in vocational training.

Inclusion, accessibility and participation

All digital tools and platforms follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). Stakeholders are involved from the design stage through surveys, focus groups and the case study workshops; learners co-create materials and contribute case studies; and an InnovateVET alumni network will connect participants and educators after the project ends.
